How to Brew Herbal Tea

Brewing a medicinal, herbal tea is as simple as 1, 2, 3! Follow the directions below to make your herbal teas at home.

Step one: Boil your water. Distilled, Spring, or Purified is preferred. Tap water is not advised and should be the last resort.

Step two: Place loose herbs into a strainer or tea bag. The recommended amount is 2 tablespoons of herbs per cup of water or 1/3 cup of herbs per 2 cups of water.

Step three: Prepare your hot water in a tea kettle or pot and carefully pour it over the loose herbs in your tea cup or infuser. Cover.

Step four: Allow the tea to steep for a minimum of 20 minutes.

Step five: Strain and press the loose herbs to get all of the infusion.

Step six: Discard loose herbs respectfully.

Step seven: Enjoy your tea warm or at room temperature!

Store any leftover tea in the refrigerator. If not consumed, discard on the 3rd day. Make new tea every other day to guarantee freshness.
